The Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Kpotum Idris, has appointed the former Lagos state Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni, as the new Commissioner of Police, Benue State Command.
Owoseni, will replace Bashir Makama as the new CP in the state.
Recall that Owoseni was replaced as the Lagos CP by the current Lagos Police Boss, Imohimi Edgal, in September last year.
However, the appointment and deployment of Owoseni to Benue may be unconnected with the recent attacks by herdsmen in the state.

Owoseni who is known to deliver may have been sent to Benue to tackle the insecurity in the state.
Recall that President Buhari had ordered the Inspector General of Police to immediately relocate to Benue State to restore law and order, following killings perpetrated by Fulani herdsmen.
