According to a report by Facebook
user, Von Nwadukwe, an accident occurred around Ugwu onyeama part of the Enugu
- onitsha express on Saturday, July 15.
NAIJ.com learnt that the accident
reportedly happened after some officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps
(FRSC) chased a car until the car lost control and fell into a ditch. Nwadukwe
who reported the incident claimed that the officers quickly fled the scene
after the accident without waiting to help the victims trapped in the car.
"The car in the ditch fell in
there while trying to get away from a team of FRSC officials who were following
him in a hot pursuit.
"Regrettably the officers
abandoned the occupants to their own fate and fled the scene though amazingly
the occupants survived without life threatening injuries.
"These are sad realities of
what state our dear country is in, where citizens are law breakers and law
enforcement agents are indiscipline. We shall overcome."
Meanwhile, the Federal Road Safety
Corps (FRSC) has tried 63 drivers in its mobile court in Pankshin Command
Plateau state. The drivers, the corps said, were arrested on Saturday, July 15,
and tried at the FRSC mobile courts for various offences. Speaking on the
arrest, the Pankshin unit commander Nnamdi Akeh-Akabo said the corps' outing

A senator of the Federal Republic of
Nigeria has escaped assassination. Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, representing Delta
Central at the National Assembly, his wife and some top members of the All
Progressives Congress were attacked by some youths in what is believed to be
assassination attempt.
Two people sustained life
threatening injuries in the process Two persons have sustained injuries as
armed men attacked the senator representing Delta Central at the National
Assembly Ovie Omo-Agege during an empowerment programme.
The senator was attacked along with
his wife and some top members of the All Progressives Congress in what his now
believed to be an assassination attempt on Saturday July 15.
He was attacked when he visited the
Effurun market located along the popular PTI road during one of his
constituency empowerment programme in Effurun, Ekpan and Ugberikoko areas of
Uvwie, Punch reports.
Speaking about the incident,
Omo-Agege said: “There is Igho Majemite, there is Wilson Oki, these are all
known thugs in Uvwie. I don’t know who sent them to assassinate me. But I was
lucky because the bullet grazed through my right ear. If I was not lucky I
would have been dead.
Two bullets were shot at me; one was
shot by Ayeye and another bullet was shot at me by Ngozi and also, my brother
was shot. “Also, we have one of my supporters who were almost killed at Ekpan
market all in the presence of police officers who could not even effect any
arrest. I have taken a first step by filing a report with the Ekpan Police
Division. I have equally spoken with the State Commissioner of Police. “I will
take it to the highest level.
All I seek is that these undesirable
elements who are out to assassinate people are removed from the system. And I
will go to any extent to see to this. You cannot attempt to kill a sitting
Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
I refuse to read any political
motivation to this. I’m not in any way saying that there is none. “For those
who were beaten and those who were equally shot at, like me, I can assure them
that we will get to the very bottom of it.
Everybody who is involved in this
attempted assassination, we will bring them to face the wrath of the law.”
Mr Zanna Ibrahim,the police
commissioner who confirmed the attack on Senator Omo-Agege when contacted on

Wednesday night, July 5.
According to reports, some suspected

The Lagos state government has
announced restriction of vehicular movement on Saturday July 22, in view of the
local government elections holding in the state. The elections will hold across
the 20 Local Government and 37 Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) across
the state.
Mr Steve Ayorinde, the state’s
Commissioner for Information and Strategy, in a statement on Sunday said that
the restriction of movement would be enforced between 8a.m and 2pm. He said
that the step was to allow for a smooth conduct of the polls and unhindered
participation.
Ayorinde urged residents to be
peaceful and orderly on Saturday as they cast their votes in their respective wards
for chairmen and councilors who were expected to drive development at the third
tier of government.
He said that the election would
bring on board a new set of public officers for the next four years at the
local government level. According to him, the restriction will allow the Lagos
State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) and the security agencies to
distribute electoral materials in good time and ensure the sanctity of free and
fair electoral process.
“The police and other security
agencies are ready to ensure that the electioneering campaign and the voting on
Saturday are conducted smoothly without public disturbance.
“Every political party, candidates and their
supporters, and the general public are hereby assured of safety throughout the
period of voting and collation. “However, the government solicits the
cooperation of voters and the general public by obeying the restriction order
and the general electoral rules in order to ensure a peaceful conduct before,
during and after the elections,” Ayoride said.
LASIEC had last week announced that
12 parties would participate in the July 22 election. It listed the parties as:
All Progressives Congress (APC), Action Alliance (AA), Alliance for Democracy
(AD), Labour Party (LP), All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), People’s
Democratic Party (PDP), Accord Party, Kowa Party, National Action Council
(NAC), People’s Democratic Movement (PDM), United Democratic Party (UDP) and
United Progressive Party (UPP).
The electoral body had also
displayed the list of validated candidates for the election at its
headquarters. NAIJ.com had reported that the Lagos state Independent Electoral
Commission (LASIEC), elections into the office(s) of Chairmen and Councilors in
the 20 LGs and 37 LCDAs in Lagos will hold on that day.

What many single guys and ladies don't know is that, there
is a whole lot of difference between single relationship and marriage.
Some of you don't
have anything tangible you are going to do in marriage than to have children.
All the privileges, uniqueness, sacredness, sanctity, enjoyments of marriage,
you are already exploring and enjoying it now in your dating adventure.
Lady, you have turned
yourself to 'iyawo ile' in the 'face me face you' apartment of that guy. You
are his cook, his mom, his bed mate, sex mate, you have moved your loads to his
room one by one. You are all over him, showing desperation.
Dear guy, what exactly are you looking forward to in
marriage? You are behaving to that lady as if you are her husband. You are
tired of her nakedness already. Nothing is exciting you about her again. 'See
finish' is happening between the two of you. If you marry today, what's going
to be a new thing to do as couples? Kissing is not new to the two of you.
Your nakedness is no more new to each other. Lady, nothing
is trilling about your breasts again. You are not yet married, but your breasts
have suffered in the hands of this boy. Yet to breastfeed oo, your breasts are
already looking like that of a grandma.
What is new I asked
you? What sex position or style have you not done together?
May be like this lady in that conversation, the only two
things left for many singles in relationship today is to have children and
fight.
Some of you will see wrong thing that guy/lady is doing that
you don't like, you will keep quiet and bottle your anger.
You won't fight and
sought it out now, you are waiting to get into marriage and then start fighting.
You have enjoyed all
the 'peace ' of marriage in dating, only to get into marriage and start war.
Hear me well dear singles, don't cross some lines, You are
not married until you are married!
Reserve romance, sex, physical intimacy, joint account,
bathing together, wearing the same clothes, and many other things for marriage.
There should be some exciting things you are looking forward to do together as
couples.
Don't do everything you should do in marriage in your
dating/ courtship.
Have self control. Right thing done at a wrong time will
make it a wrong thing!
Thanks for reading. You can share, comment, and like to
bless a single guy/lady around you. Share, don't plagiarize it.
