Former Minister of Aviation Femi Fani-Kayode

Former Minister of Aviation Femi Fani-Kayode has said the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, lies more than the devil.

He was reacting to a statement made by the minister of culture, who claimed that the Federal Government spends N3. 5m monthly to feed the Shi’ite leader, Ibrahim El-Zakzaky, who is in custody of the Department of State Services (DSS).

Reacting in a post on Twitter, Fani-Kayode said even Satan cannot match Mohammed’s skills in the delivery of falsehood.

He wrote: “It costs FG N3.5m a month to feed Shiite leader El-Zakzaky –Lai Mohammed.

“There is no demon in hell that lies like Lie Mohammed.

“Satan himself cannot match him when it comes to the skillful delivery of perfidy, falsehood, fabrication, deceit, mendacity, doublespeak and filthy lies!”

The Nigeria Police has arraigned a Deputy Superintendent of Police who allegedly killed a niece to a former Minister of Finance, Senator Nenadi Usman.

In a criminal charge filed on Friday at the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in Zuba, 36-year-old Inagozie Godwin was alleged to have shot Miss Anita Akapson at Katampe area of Abuja at about 9:45pm on October 13, 2018.

The one-count, which the prosecutor said was a criminal offence, to wit culpable homicide ran contrary to section 22(3) of the Penal Code and punishable under section 22(4) of the same code.

After the charge was read to the accused cop, he pleaded not guilty.

The prosecutor, Mr Donatus Abah, thereafter asked the court for a date for commencement of the trial of the accused.

However, counsel to the defendant, Mr Paul Samson, informed the court of his client’s bail application dated October 30 and filed same day.

After taking submissions by both counsels on the bail application, the presiding judge, Justice  A. O. Ebong admitted the accused on bail in the sum of N50million with two sureties.

Justice Ebong said he was minded to grant the defendant bail because the police prosecutor failed to advance cogent reasons under the law why bail should not be granted to the DSP.

He noted that the offence was a culpable homicide and not punishable by death, but carries a maximum sentence of life imprisonment.

According to the judge, all the factors that would have swayed the pendulum in favour of the prosecutor were not mentioned as he opposed the bail application.

As part of the bail conditions, he also directed that the two sureties must be serving public servants who should not be below the position of directors.

The court stated that the sureties must be resident in their personal houses and must equally swear an affidavit of means.

Justice Ebong, however, ordered that the accused must not travel without leave of court, and must live within the jurisdiction of the court in order to attend his trial.

In addition, he directed the defendant to deposit his international passport and other relevant travel documents to the registrar of the court.

Amethyst Realm

An Englishwoman, Amethyst Realm said she has found true love after having a fling with an Australian ghost, who just proposed to her, and now she wants the living world to know about it.
30-year-old Realm from Bristol claimed in an interview on ITV News that she has had sex with at least 20 ghosts since she was a teenager as she wasn’t looking for a new relationship. However, things changed for her when she went on business trip to Australia.
She said that she came into contact with an apparition when she went on a nature hike in the country and felt sparks like none she has ever known.
Realm thinks that it would not amount to anything serious as she says spirits tend to stay in one place. However, she experienced something amazing happening on her flight home: She felt the presence of her lover on the plane, and apparently not stowed in cargo.
“I couldn’t believe it. I was happy and excited – so excited that we had to do something about it. So we headed to the plane loo,” she told the Sun. “And, well, I am now a member of the Mile High Club.”
The incident occurred nine months ago and things have grown to the point where Realm expressed her desire to marry and have her ghost’s baby on the British show “ITV This Morning” in August.
Reportedly, the paranormal proposal occurred last week when the couple was on a road trip to England’s Wookey Hole caves, as per to the New York Post. “There was no going down on one knee – he doesn’t have knees. But for the first time, I heard him speak,” she said, according to the paper. “I could actually hear his voice, and it was beautiful. Deep, sexy and real.”
Now the couple have decided to get a ring but not yet decided on what kind it will be. Realm is hoping that her ring will have an amethyst in it, however, she will leave the decision to her spirit lover.
The couple is also planning to do a Pagan “handfasting” ceremony, in which their hands are tied together, symbolising their connection.
“It’ll be somewhere in the English countryside. We haven’t discussed the details yet, but I think it will be quite a big do,” she said.
Realm also revealed that the ghost’s energy is more womanly than an archetypal man but she concedes that, “if you’re making love to a spirit, gender doesn’t really come into it.”
“Ghost lovers tend to be more sensual and adept than the average bloke. There’s always more of a connection, because the sex goes beyond physical. It’s like any other kind of sex. The main difference is I just can’t see them,” she was quoted saying.
In another interview, the bride-to-be added that this engagement is much more satisfying than her previous living fiancé.
“Sometimes I get the feeling that I’m being moved,” she said.
“Orgasms I have with my spirit lovers have been way more satisfying than any I’ve had with ordinary men.”

Nikki Haley, the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations

U.S. Ambassador Nikki Haley has accused North Korea of cancelling Thursday’s talks between U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and a senior North Korean official because they were not ready.
Haley, however, said on Thursday that a meeting between the two nations’ leaders is still on for after Jan. 1.
“I don’t think there was some major issue” for the postponement.
“I have talked with the administration and basically what we’re looking at is they postponed it because they weren’t ready,” she said.
Pompeo was supposed to meet with Kim Yong Chol in New York on Thursday to discuss the North’s commitment to eliminating its nuclear weapons and arrangements for a second summit between U.S. President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.
“I do think the talks are going to be rescheduled.
“And it doesn’t change the fact that that summit is still scheduled for the president and Kim to meet after the first of the year,” Haley said of the Pompeo-Kim Yong Chol meeting.
Haley spoke to reporters ahead of U.N. Security Council closed consultations called by Russia to discuss exemptions from U.N. sanctions on North Korea.
“We have given a lot of carrots up until now,” she said, pointing to the Kim-Trump summit in Singapore and follow-up meetings as well as stopping military exercises.
While there haven’t been any nuclear or ballistic missile tests by North Korea, Haley said its government hasn’t allowed inspectors into its nuclear and missile facilities.
“We’re not going to get rid of the stick because they haven’t done anything to warrant getting rid of the sanctions yet,” she said.
Haley accused Russia of trying to “earn brownie points with North Korea and I think they are also just trying to go ahead and talk about lifting sanctions because they’re already cheating.”
She accused Russia of bringing in North Korean laborers and providing Pyongyang with refined petroleum, in violation of U.N. sanctions. And she added: “We know they’ve been doing some things with the financial aspect of it.”
As she left the closed council meeting, Haley said humanitarian exemptions were discussed.
She said earlier that the U.S. goal is to make sure aid goes to people in need, not the regime, so it is investigating technical aspects of a number of requests to make sure aid is not re-routed.
“So we’re going to take our time to do that,” she said.
But Haley said Russia’s real aim came out at the end of the council consultations.
“What they’re looking for is to lift banking restrictions, which are exactly some of the things we know they’re not following through on appropriately.
“So now we know what their agenda is. We know exactly why they’re trying to do it. We’re not going to let it happen,” Haley said.

Gov. Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State has dismissed rumours that he and Gov. Rochas Okorocha of Imo are behind the alleged detention and grilling of All Progressives Congress(APC) National Chairman Adams Oshiomhole.
Oshiomhole was reportedly detained and questioned on Nov. 4 by the Department of State Services (DSS) over the fallout of the APC primaries.
Speaking with State House correspondents after a closed-door meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday at the Presidential Villa, Amosun said he did not have such capacity.
“I think you are giving me an oversight role.
“I am not a security person; so, clearly, that question will probably not be for me.
“I don’t hide under a finger and fight; if there is need for me to put my views across, you know by now, I will do it.”
The governor, who sounded evasive, said that all that needed to be said about the APC crisis had been said; hence no need to sound like `a broken gammaphone’.
He said it was not true that he was having problem with the leadership of the party.
It would be recalled that three APC governors — Okorocha, Amosun and Abdulaziz Yari of Zamfara have been at loggerheads with Oshiomhole over the outcome of the party’s primaries.
