The Kiss Of The Married Woman That Eventually Scattered Mugabe's Kingdom. A Lesson To All Men.

Now, it's difficult to piece together what is going to become of Zimbabwe after now, however history gives us a peek at the key actors in the drama currently playing out.

Now, this is the story you dont't know.
Mugabe the deposed President of Zimbabwe, Constantine Chiwenga the Head of the Zimbabwean Military and Mnangagwa the sacked Vice President of Zimbabwe are all friends, very good friends, they are comrades.

The three men were in their 20's when they entered the bushes and took part in the liberation struggle to free Zimbabwe from white rule.

Mugabe who was initially the Sect General of ZANU PF, became the head of state, the other two men were equally given plum positions of power and have continued as the 3 musketeers presiding over the destiny of Zimbabwe for 37 years.

Sometime in the 90's - Mugabe, the first musketeer fell in love with his personal secretary who happened to be another man's wife at the time, the lady's name was Grace and she became his mistress.

While Mugabe was still married Grace had children for him. In 1996 they became man and wife after the death of Mugabe's first spouse.

But Grace was no ordinary mistress turned wife, she was not ready to take a backseat, she turned herself into Mugabe's political confidant, she used the bed and made her way to the very centre of Zimbabwean politics straining the relationship between Mugabe and his two comrades.

Mnangagwa the 2nd musketeer after many years of loyalty became Mugabe's Vice President in 2014, paving the way for his eventual hold on power should Mugabe retire, resign or die.

But Grace had other ideas she wangled her way into ZANU PF's politburo and began her move to take out Mnangagwa and take power from her ailing husband.

In August 2017 Mnangagwa accused certain persons in the party of trying to poison him and made references to Grace. This didn't go down well with Mugabe, how could anyone accuse his beautiful Serengeti Rose flower. What Mugabe forgot was that boys are allowed to fight but the brotherhood must stay strong and united.

In a move that shocked everyone (but didn't shock his beloved Grace) , he removed Mnangagwa from the position of Vice President, Mnangagwa not sure of what Grace will do to him fled to South Africa.

Now, in comes the 3rd musketeer Chiwenga Head of the Zimbabwaean military, a friend and brother of both Mugabe and Mnangagwa, "this is all the fault of one woman", he is probably thinking in his mind, " we were one until this woman came. I trust Mnangagwa to takeover, I don't know this woman; by the way, where was she when we were sleeping in the bushes before the liberation".

Chiwenga sends a warning to Mugabe advising him to put his house in order, the first time he has ever spoken this way to his senior comrade. Thinking Mugabe will take the signal, call him, negotiate and talk things over a cup of tea. NO! Mugabe does the exact opposite, he sends his Minister of Information to tell the Army General to stay out of State matters, Mugabe then finalises plans to sack Chiwenga perhaps to pave an unhindered route to the throne for Grace.

The military chief thought this had gone too far his brother and comrade in arms had drunk deep from the strange woman's bosom, it's wasn't him acting any longer , so he rolled out his tanks early this morning. He's therefore right when he says,"this is not a coup" ; when you really look at it, 3 friends have only fallen out over the inordinate ambitions of a woman.

Latest reportś say Mnangagwa the 2nd Musketeer is on his way back from South Africa, i've just read a report he's going to be installed interim President. The 1st Musketter Mugabe is under house arrest. The 3rd Musketter is in the saddle promising calm and quick elections. The 3 men have held Zimbabwe under lock and key for 37yrs, this is nothing but a change of baton.

Zimbabwe needs a real revolution out of the hands of the veterans of the liberation struggle. No doubt in the 21st century Zimbabwe is the frozen out Animal Farm in George Orwells celebrated work.

Meanwhile the woman Grace, who started the whole katakata, I hear has fled the country leaving her beloved husband who sacrificed everything, to face an uncertain fate.

16m Zimbabweans could not remove Mugabe but a woman did.

Mama was always right when she always told me, "son - be careful who you fall in love with and eventually marry".

Forgiveness is perhaps one of the major attributes anyone must possess before entering into marriage, because at any time, offence can arise from either of the partners. Having said that, any offence that involves a direct threat to one’s life is one taken too far, which was why SATURDAY PUNCH asked some Nigerians if they would forgive a spouse who tried to poison them

I’d forgive, but the marriage is over – Bola Jagun
Yes, I would forgive him because the Bible says we should forgive everyone, including our enemies. However, I can’t say I would forget about the incident. Such can never be forgotten. And because of this, I would never live with him again because he had shown himself to be heartless and wicked. He could eventually kill me someday. I would never spend the rest of my life with such a person again. I believe that marriage is not a do-or-die affair. In marriage, my happiness matters a lot.

I can’t forgive her, she’s a devil – Folajin Oyefemi
No way! I can’t forgive such a woman. It shows she is wicked and would not stop at anything in order to kill me. I would never give her a second chance. In fact, we have to go our separate ways before she finds another way to murder me. That kind of woman is not a spouse; she is the devil and a murderer. It’s better to flee from people like that than think she would change.

I’d run for my life – Oyindamola Anibaba
I would forgive him because forgiveness is divine. However, we can’t live together again. That would be the end of the relationship. To even think of poisoning me meant that he could use a machete to behead me. That kind of person is a murderer. Therefore, I would run for my life. My safety is very important. I can’t live in such an endangered environment.

Not forgiving her would hurt my inner peace – Kuroz Alfred
Choosing not to forgive her is what would affect my own inner peace in the long run. So, I think it’s better to just forgive her and move on. Of course, our relationship can never be the same again after the incident because I wouldn’t know what her next move would be. We would need to go our separate ways.

Divorce would resolve the issue – Akhigbe Celestina
I would forgive him because as a Christian, that’s what Jesus would do. However, living with him thereafter is a different ball game. I don’t think I have to risk my life living with such a man again. Divorce would sort out the whole issue because wanting to kill me is the height of disaffection and hatred. There would be no need to pretend as if we are one anymore.

I’d forgive, but be more careful in eating her food – Akinboye Akinsola
There is no problem about forgiving her. At least I should be thanking God that she didn’t succeed in killing me. Since we are married and I still love her, I would have to sit her down and at least know why she attempted to poison me. Giving her a second chance could change her for life, But of course, I would find it hard to eat her food. I’d have to be more careful.

That’s the end of our marriage – Orowale Omolara
Though I would forgive him, that would be the end of the marriage. That kind of man would find another way to finish his evil work. Once God has delivered you from an incident, you have to become wiser and not fall into the same pit next time. That kind of husband is a fake one and I would need to run for my life.

Even if I forgave her, I’d run for my life – Isaiah Adeboye
Before I make any rash decision, I think I would need to ask her what made her to think of poisoning me. Of course, this does not mean I would stay in the marriage. I would just love to know the reason, after which I would decide whether to forgive her or not. But even if I forgave her, I would still run for my dear life. She is not my wife again. That’d be the end of our marriage.

That’s not a man to be with – Saphire Eniwoma
It is very important to know that a spouse who tried to poison you is not your lover. That’s wickedness. I am sure that such a person would try other means to make sure you end up dead. That is not someone to be with. Though I would forgive him, that would be the end of the marriage. Better to be single and alive than to be married and be killed by one’s own spouse.

I’d totally forgive her – Shina Adewole
Yes, I can forgive her. Maybe I had offended her before and she was looking for a way to punish me. The fact that I survived the poisoning meant that God wanted me to forgive and move on. If not, I should have just died. I would discuss with her and if she showed any remorse, I would forgive her. The power to forgive is even in God’s hands, so who am I not to forgive my enemy?

Ex VP, Atiku Abubakar

The National Vice Chairman (South-South) of the All Progressives Congress, Hilliard Eta, has said that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar is no longer an option for the 2019 presidential race.

Eta said this in an interview with Saturday PUNCH in Abuja, on Friday.

He explained that he was one of those who canvassed votes for Atiku during the APC presidential primaries in 2015 but that their loyalty shifted to Muhammadu Buhari after he became the party’s presidential candidate.

Eta explained that he and all the other party faithful cast their lot with the party and its candidate which eventually led to Buhari’s emergence as President.

According to him, even the ardent critics of Buhari have been surprised by his performance.

Eta said the President was already doing what Atiku had always aspired to do if given the chance.

The APC chieftain said, “Another cycle is about to come and Atiku is no more an option for me because I think that the option for me now is the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Buhari, who has done remarkably well in keeping the promises that he made to Nigerians.”

He urged the former Vice President to join the President in building the Nigeria of his dreams.

When asked if he was pushing for an automatic ticket for Buhari, Eta said, “Well, because of the sterling qualities of the President, because of the job he has done, the totality of the membership of the party may want him to go back without contest.

“What I mean is that those who may want to contest against him may join hands with him to build the country and have him only as both the aspirant and eventually the candidate of the party. It has happened in a lot of political circumstances around the world.”

In response to Eta, the Media Adviser to the former Vice President, Paul Ibe, said every Nigerian was entitled to their opinion.

He explained that the party chieftain was expressing a personal opinion, but that he could only speak for himself in such matters.

Ibe, who spoke to our correspondent in a telephone interview, said, “He is entitled to his opinion like all Nigerians, he is free to speak for himself just like he has done, but he can’t speak for all Nigerians.”

Mr. Femi Falana

Human Rights Lawyer, Mr. Femi Falana, has said that the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration lacks the political will needed to fight corruption.

He stated this on Friday while speaking on the topic: “Restructuring, Pros and Cons: The place of the Nigerian youth”, at the 78th International Students Day organised by the Ogun State Government in Abeokuta, the state capital.

Falana noted that the fight against corruption embarked upon by the Buhari government remained a mere scratch on the surface.

He said, “I am sure you are following the anti-corruption war being prosecuted by Muhammadu Buhari’s administration, men and women are involved.

“Christians and Muslims are involved and those who believe in traditional religions are involved. One person has been charged with collecting N4.7bn from former President Goodluck Jonathan for spiritual consultation.

“The point I am making is that if our looters are not divided on the table of ethnicity nothing will happen. The government still lacks the political will, the war now is just a tip of the real iceberg; there is still money to be recovered.”

The human rights lawyer also faulted the Senate for approving $5.5bn loan request put forward by the executive.

Falana, who lamented the state and standard of education in the South-West, argued that the zone seemed to have lost its place to others as evident in the recently released West African Examinations Council results where the region performed poorly.

He said, “After the last WAEC, NECO and JAMB results were released, no state in the South-West made it to the top 10 list and that for me is a shame.

“We need to go back to where we are coming from and where we got it wrong.”

Falana urged the youths not to join those calling for the breakup of the country, adding that those fanning the embers of disunity were only fighting for their selfish interest.

He noted that for the country to move forward, it must have a knowledge-based system.

On his part, the governor of the state, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, appealed to youths to do whatever they could do to prepare themselves for leadership positions, urging them to show high commitment in nation building.
