The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Osun State Command, has seized 272 Kilogrammes of Cannabis Sativa and arrested one suspect in connection with it.

The State Commandant, Samuel Egbeola, made this known in a statement on Saturday in Osogbo.

“The intelligence on this seizure was given by good people of the state and we solicit for more of this from them,” he said.

He said the 272 KGS Cannabis Sativa in 19 sacks were seized on January 4, at Ifewara town, Atakunmosa East Local Government area of the state.

Egbeola also reiterated his commitment in ridding the state of all forms of crimes, especially as it relates to drugs.


He, however, explained that Investigation had commenced, and “We are always ready to achieve our mandate of making the state a drug free state.”
