The Abuja Choral Ensemble (ACE), a musical group is set to hold its musical concert and Christmas Carols in Abuja on Dec. 10.
The group, a classical music performance group said that the Christmas concert tagged: “Let Christmas Begin”, was one of its annual concerts to heal souls.
The Director of the group, Mr Everyman Eleanya in an interview said that music is a necessity in the life of every Nigerian because of its healing powers.
“In a world of political, religious, economic and personal disintegration, music is not a luxury but a necessity.
“Music is therapeutic, a universal language and persistently focuses on man’s intelligence, aspiration and goodwill.
Eleanya who said that the concert was open to all residents in the FCT and environs, added that the concert repertoire would range from classical to contemporary, sacred to secular, and African to European songs, interspersed with solos and duets.
“In line with the group’s mission of promoting excellence in choral music through presentation of diverse exceptional music, ACE has prepared to render songs of African, American and European origin for the expected audience.
“This event is expected to have top government functionaries, legislators, members of the Diplomatic Corp and other government officials as well as members of the general public in attendance,” he said.
The concert is billed to hold at the Ladi Kwali Hall of the Sheraton Abuja Hotel and admittance will cost N3,000.
