Imo CP, Chris Okey Ezike
The 229 recruit constables posted to the Imo State Police Command out of the Federal Government’s 10,000 recruitment exercise into the Nigeria Police Force have been charged to strictly embrace the Inspector General’s call for community policing.
Addressing the new intakes at the state police command headquarters in Owerri, the state commissioner of police, Chris Okey Ezike, urged the cops to work for the unity of the country especially in the communities they were posted.
Ezike Said, “The 229 of you are from Imo State.
This is in line with the IGP’s commitment for community policing. You have been
charged to police Imo State and you must do it with commitment and diligence.
“There is a moral burden on you to secure the
lives and properties of the people of Imo State. There are 42 divisions in the
state and you are going to be posted to them to work for the good of the
society.”
“I will not fail to append my signature for your
dismissal should any of you get involved in crime, “Ezike warned.
