Some clothes and other personal items is discovered at a site suspected to be a kidnappers den. An eye witness says the hideout was being used by a mad man.
Three suspects believed to be ritualusts from the scene are whisked away by the police to prevent them from being lynched.
A hideout of suspected kidnappers has been uncovered at the Ile Zik area of Oshodi-Ikeja by vigilant residents.
Premium Times reports that some clothes and other personal items discovered at the alleged den was set ablaze by the mob following the discovery
“About three days ago we discovered that there is a cage and we went there, beside the CCTV camera, a man who has been taken away now by the police lives there and we used to think he is a mad man.
“Some items Discovered include ladies underwear and lots more, we later saw that he is normal, many human items were found there," Prince Adeyanju, a resident, said.
Officers of the police Rapid Response Squad were deployed to the scene.

Three suspects believed to be ritualists from the scene were whisked away by the police to prevent them from being lynched by the crowd. One of the suspects was arrested with an i-Phone, according to a statement from the Rapid Response Squad. He was smoked out of the drainage hole with tear gas.
Security men comprising of the police, army and neighbourhood watchers were deployed to the area to forestall the break down of law and order.

This latest discovery comes days after a tunnel used by suspected ritualists near Obadeyi bus stop, along Lagos-Abeokuta expressway was uncovered by residents.
The finding followed the arrest of an alleged kidnapper after passers-by said they heard a cry for help by a female victim.
Two suspects were apprehended by the residents following a search of the tunnel. While one of the suspects was set ablaze by a mob, the other allegedly ran out of the other end of the hole but was eventually caught, Premium Times reports.
