Despite a restraining court order, the National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Friday dissolved the Kano State Executive Committee of the party.
The NWC of the party announced the dissolution in a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan in Abuja.
Ologbondiyan said the dissolution took immediate effect.
He added that a caretaker committee has been constituted to pilot the affairs of the state chapter of the party.
A Kano State High Court presided over by Justice N S. Umar, had restrained the national and state leadership of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) from tampering with the Kano state chapter of the party.
Justice Umar in an interim order dated Aug. 28, ordered both the applicants and the respondents to maintain the status quo ante, pending the hearing and determination of the motion on notice.
Alhaji Umar Mai Goro Rano and four others dragged the national and Kano state leadership of the PDP before Justice Umar challenging the plans to restructure the party’s executive committee.
The court ordered the respondents and any other person or persons to restrain from interfering or tampering with the tenure of the existing leadership of PDP in Kano state.
“This honourable court restrains any other person or persons from disturbing and or intimidating the administration of the State, Local Government areas or ward officers from doing anything or taking any steps that are likely to interfere with or disturb the officers tenure which are protected under section 47 (1) and section 223(1) (a) of the 1999 constitution”, Justice Umar ruled.
Justice Umar adjourned the case till Nov. 5, for hearing of motion on notice.
Efforts to contact the state chairman of the party, Sen Mas’ud El-Jibril Doguwa, to comment on the sudden development failed as he refused to take several phone calls from NAN Correspondent in Kano.
However, when contacted, the state Publicity Secretary of the party, Alhaji Musa Danbirni declined comment saying he was just returning to Kano.
“I will not comment on the issue until after I speak with the party chairman and other party elders who are currently in Abuja,”he said.
NAN learnt that the former Governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso inspired the dissolution of the existing leadership of the party in Kano state, to enable him seize control of the party structure.

The Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON), has warned importers of school uniform materials into Nigeria about some cancer-causing substances found in some school uniform materials made by two China based companies.
A statement issued by the Director-General of SON, Mr Osita Aboloma on Friday in Abuja, named the companies producing the materials as Sing Shun Fat School-Clothier Company and Zenith Uniform Company.
Aboloma said that the azo dyes found in some school uniforms in Hong Kong contained up to 173 milligrams and 41 milligrams per kilogram of the tested samples respectively.
He added that the amounts of the dye contained in the materials were well above the maximum allowed in the standard.
“Use of the 4-amino azo dyes have been banned in Europe, Japan and other parts of the world prior to the finding.
“Azo dyes could release carcinogenic substances known as aromatic amines when they mix with sweat, which accounted for the ban on the use of the dye in many countries of the world.”
The D-G advised importers of school uniform materials in Nigeria to endeavour to undergo the process of conformity assessment of such materials prior to import, through the SON off-shore Conformity Assessment Programme (SONCAP), to avoid bringing them to the country.
He further advised Nigerians to report any suspected uniform materials that may already be in the country to SON for necessary sampling, laboratory tests and analysis to be carried out at its Textile and Leather Laboratory in Kaduna for necessary regulatory action.
Aboloma added that all International Accredited Firms (IAFs) undertaking the off-shore Conformity Assessment Programme on behalf of SON all over the world have been put on alert regarding the cancer-causing substance in school uniform materials and other clothing materials to be imported into Nigeria.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), reports that SON is the body in charge of standardisation of all products in Nigeria. LR News

A man from Oregon, U.S., Ryan Coleman has dragged his employer to court after he was sacked from work for refusing to attend weekly Christian Bible studies.
Reports say the 34-year-old Coleman is filed seeking more than $750,000 in the lawsuit filed in Linn County Circuit Court.
Coleman, a convicted felon and half-Native American, said the construction company, Dahled Up Construction, did not require its workers to attend weekly Bible studies until a month after he was hired as a painter, the Oregonian reports.
Joel Dahl, the company’s owner and founder, insisted his employees attend the studies as a condition of continuing employment, the lawsuit claims.
Coleman said he complied for nearly six months, fearing his past convictions would make finding other work difficult.
“I am Native American and Christianity is just not my thing,” Coleman told Fox News.
But in April, Coleman told Dahl he could not attend the classes anymore and was fired. Coleman said he had received a pay raise only two weeks prior.
“I loved my job. I woke up every day excited to go to work. Not everybody can say that,” Coleman said.
Dahl, also a convicted felon, said he started his construction company to help other felons like Coleman get back on their feet, the Oregonian reported.
Dahl’s attorney does not dispute that Dahl requires employees to attend Bible study, but says it is legal because Dahl pays them to attend.
“We believe that this requirement was not illegal. These are at-will employees and they were paid to go. It was part of their job, so they were expected to attend,” Kent Hickman, an attorney for Dahl, told NPR.
But Coleman’s attorney, Corinne Schram, questioned the legality of the work requirement.
“Unless you are a religious organisation like a church, you cannot force your employees to participate in religious activities,” Schram said.
Coleman is suing his former employer for $50,000 of alleged lost income and $750,000 for “mental stress, humiliation, inconvenience and loss of enjoyment of life,” the lawsuit says.
Albany is located in northwestern Oregon, about 70 miles south of Portland.

Senate President Bukola Saraki has declared his intention to run for the presidency in the 2019 general elections.

He made the declaration on Thursday while delivering a keynote address at a dialogue for youths and young aspirants in Abuja.

The Senate President listed several challenges which he believes have clogged the wheels of progress in the nation.

He highlighted extreme poverty, hunger, lack of education and mass unemployment as some of the things that have paved way for more crime and insecurity in the nation, adding that it is now time for Nigerians to rebuild the nation with new leadership.

Also, he stated that the economy is broken while the nation has now, more than ever, witnessed division along regional, religious and ethnic lines, a situation he believes should be addressed urgently in order for the nation to grow.

He said, “ It is with all these in mind and taking account of the challenges that I have outlined, that I have decided to answer the call of teeming youth who have asked me to run for President.

“Accordingly, I hereby announce my intention to run for the office of President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in the coming General Elections in 2019 on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). I do so with the firm conviction that I have what it takes to secure inclusive growth for Nigeria and Nigerians.”

According to the Senate President, inclusion in all aspects of the country’s affairs is a central pillar for his plans for the nation.

He said, “Every citizen has the inalienable right to feel a sense of belonging, no matter their background or creed, or what part of the country they come from. No matter who you voted for or what your convictions are, government must work for you.”

Saraki’s declaration comes nearly a month after he defected from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The defection sparked various reactions from both the ruling party and the opposition and subsequently, calls for his resignation as the Senate President, heightened.

Resign Or Be Impeached

According to the National Chairman of the APC, Mr Adams Oshiomhole, he (Saraki) is now a member of the minority in the Senate and should no longer lead.

He, therefore, asked Saraki to resign or stand the risk of being impeached “legally and democratically.”

Saraki on the other hand, responded, saying he would not lose sleep over any impeachment plot.

He also stated that those calling for his impeachment were only engaging in cheap blackmail.

Meanwhile, in the weeks following his defection, the Senate President has visited past leaders such as former military leader, Ibrahim Babangida, in Minna, Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, and most recently, Goodluck Jonathan.

Some youths in Akure, Ondo State, on Wednesday took to the street to protest against the death of two persons, a man and lady who were allegedly killed by the men of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps.

It was gathered that the deceased were siblings, but their identities had not been revealed as of the time of filing this report.

According to an eyewitness, trouble started when an officer of the NSCDC allegedly hit a man, who was riding a motorcycle on Tuesday, with his car in the Ondo Road area of the town and the man reportedly died at a hospital.

It was learnt that the death of the okada rider sparked off a protest by the deceased’s friends and family.

He said, “During the protest, a sister of the deceased saw a team of the NSCDC operatives and verbally assaulted them. One of the operatives fired a shot at the woman and she died on the spot.”

Another source said the death of the okada rider was an accident.

“After the NSCDC officer hit the okada rider on Tuesday, the man was taken to a hospital but the man died. It was when the family members went to take the corpse at the hospital that the protest started.

“As the protesters saw the men of the NSCDC on the road, they decided to vent their anger on them. Probably out of self defence, one of officer shot the sister of the late okada rider, making it two people that died in the hands of NSCDC men.”

For several hours on Wednesday, the popular Oba Adesida Road was barricaded by protesters, while the corpses of the deceased were later taken away in a van.

The Public Relations Officer of the Ondo State Command of the NSCDC, Mr Oladapo Samuel, said the men of the command did not kill anybody.

He explained that an officer of the Corps from Abuja, who was in Akure for an examination, was involved in an accident with two persons on a commercial motorcycle on Tuesday.

According to him, the officer, whose name he did not mention, took the victims to a hospital for treatment.

He said, “The officer involved in the accident was our man serving at the national headquarters in Abuja. After the accident, he took the victims to a hospital and paid the bills, but unfortunately one of the victims died this morning (Wednesday). Because of that, the people started a protest.

“However, the protest was hijacked by hoodlums and they moved to our office. Immediately, we mobilised our men to the place to forestall a breakdown of law and order.

“The issue of shooting somebody dead; I don’t know anything about that. It was a violent protest, because some of the protesters have guns.”

The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Mr Femi Joseph, confirmed that two people died, saying the one that was involved in the accident on Tuesday died at the hospital, while another person died during the protest.

“We have yet to identify the victims. But since it is an inter-security agencies matter, we shall definitely investigate and bring whoever is found culpable to book.”

A 42-year-old prophet, Olusola Akindele, has been arrested by men of the Ogun State Police Command for allegedly killing his lover, identified as Iya Anu, for ritual.

Akindele’s alleged accomplice, Pastor Ayodele Bamiduro, was equally arrested by the police.

The prophet was said to have invited Iya Anu to his rented apartment in Itoki, Agbado, in the Ifo Local Government Area of the state, where he allegedly killed her after they had had sex.

Akindele was said to have used a pestle-like wood to smash her head.

He was said to have cut off her head, hands, and removed her intestines which he took to the pastor, Bamiduro, the founder of Lion of Judah Church of Christ on Robiyan Street, Abule Ijoko.

The two suspects were later driven to the church, where the head, hands and intestines were buried on the premises.

Akindele, who is also a bricklayer, allegedly dumped the decapitated body of the deceased in an uncompleted building next to a bungalow where he lived.

The decomposing body was recovered by the police and men of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria in the area.

The state Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu, described the act as conspiracy, murder and ritualism.

He said on August 10, 2018, the Baale of Igbore, Femi Kujore, reported the discovery of a decomposing headless body in an uncompleted building in the community to the police at the Agbado Police Division.

He said Akindele confessed that the deceased was his lover and they had dated for two years before he killed her.

Iliyasu said, “On that day, the woman went to visit him as usual and after they made love, the woman dozed off. The suspect surreptitiously brought out a pestle-like wood with which he smashed her head.

“He later cut off her head and two hands before he threw the remains into the uncompleted building next to his residence.

“The severed head and the two hands of the victim were buried at the back of the Lion of Judah Church of Christ at Robiyan Avenue belonging to Ayodele Bamiduro.”

Akindele, however, told PUNCH Metro that he did not know why he killed his lover.

He said, “We had been lovers for two years; she sold alcoholic drinks and she had been pestering me to help her with N10,000.

“That day, she came as usual and I never knew what came upon me as I killed her by smashing her head.”

Bamiduro said although he knew Akindele,  he never sent him to kill anyone; a claim that was corroborated by the latter.

Also arrested alongside the suspects was the landlord who gave out the apartment to Akindele, Akinola Oyedele.

Iliyasu said the suspects would face the full wrath of the law as they would be arraigned in a court after the completion of investigation. LR News

Tension enveloped Emmanuel Olorunfemi and Oshunkeye streets in the Ifako-Ijaiye, Ogba area of Lagos State on Wednesday after a police sergeant was killed by some youths suspected to be cult members.

Our correspondent gathered that the irate youths were protesting against the death of one Shina, aka Ishan, who was reportedly injured during a police raid on Oshunkeye Street in Idiagbon community.

The hoodlums were alleged to have taken the corpse to the Area G Police Command headquarters, Ogba.

The men were reported to have chartered a bus to Haruna bus stop on College Road, where they attacked a police team stationed at the junction.

Our correspondent learnt that one of the policemen was chased to Emmanuel Olorunfemi Street, where he was clubbed and shot dead.

A resident, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the incident happened around 11am.

He said, “I gathered that last Wednesday, the policemen went to raid Idiagbon and many fled to evade arrest. In the melee, the victim fell into a gutter and hit his head on the concrete slab. He was rushed to a hospital and put on oxygen. He, however, died this morning (Wednesday).

“His friends and some residents took his corpse to the Area G Police Command in an ambulance. They left the body there and took a bus back to the community. They sighted some policemen at Haruna bus stop and attacked them with cutlasses and sticks. They vandalised their patrol van as the cops ran for dear life. However, the youths got one of them on Emmanuel Olorunfemi Street and beat him to death.”

Emmanuel Olorunfemi Street and its environs were deserted when our correspondent visited on Wednesday, as some motorcycle riders discussed the incident.

One of them said colleagues of the deceased policeman did nothing to save him.
He said, “There were four of them at the junction. Those boys broke their van’s windscreen and chased them. They met one of them eating and stabbed him. I learnt that that the policeman was taken to a hospital.

“Two of the policemen, who were in flight, asked me to take them to their station. Those boys caught up with the last policeman and used sticks to hit him on the head. They were not with any gun.  They used the policeman’s gun to shoot him dead and later dropped it on his corpse.”

The atmosphere in Idiagbon community was charged when PUNCH Metro visited the area, as many shops and houses were locked.

The Balogun of Idiagbon, James Shomuyiwa, confirmed that policemen raided the street, adding that during the operation, a youth was injured.

He said after the victim died on Wednesday, his friends vowed to avenge him.

He said, “There are some Aiye and Eye cult members in this community and there has been a supremacy fight between them for some time. They have constituted themselves into a nuisance and they even have a base called Aso Rock. That place has been turned to a den. We cannot sleep with our two eyes closed. Anytime they clash, we lose our peace.

“Recently, an Alfa, who claimed to be a landlord, came to my place to complain that his son was attacked by some Eye cult members because the boy refused to join them.

“However, when the Eye cult members heard that they came to my place, they besieged my house in large numbers and said the boy was a member of the Aiye cult. The two parties later converged on my house and I confronted the Alfa and his son with the claim of the Eye cult.

“At that meeting, I told the two groups to stop their illegal activities in my domain and I threatened to bring in the police if they did not heed the warning. I was later told that most of the cult members were not indigenes of Idiagbon; they came from another community called Obawole.

“For about two weeks now, the police had been conducting raids on the area.

“This morning (Wednesday), they came to my house, saying one of them had just died and they would retaliate. They said they were going to take the corpse to Area G and that the police should eat the corpse.”

The state Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Chike Oti, confirmed the incident

He identified the deceased as Sergeant Esiabor Collins.

He said, “Today, Wednesday, August 29, 2018, around 11am, on College Road, Ifako Ijaiye, Ogba, Lagos, a police patrol team stationed at a black spot was attacked.

“In the process, Sergeant Esiabor Collins, with service number 260326, was attacked and killed. Also, the patrol vehicle was vandalised.

“Preliminary investigation into the incident revealed that the mob, mainly youths, had earlier that morning gone to Area G Command, Ogba.

“The Area Commander spoke to them, promising to investigate their grievances, which bordered on the death of a youth who allegedly died today (Wednesday), two weeks after an alleged encounter with some policemen.

“At this juncture, it must be clearly stated that the police authorities in the state are unaware of any encounter with the deceased as no formal complaint was received to that effect.”

Oti said the state Commissioner of Police, Edgal Imohimi, was saddened by the incident, adding that the command would bring the culprits to book.

He said five suspects, who were arrested, had been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Yaba, to face prosecution for murder.

“The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, CP Edgal Imohimi, warns that policemen may be forced to use their firearms to defend themselves to avoid being killed by a mob in the protection of government assets,” he added.  LR News

British Prime Minister, Theresa May, says she had an excellent time in Nigeria and hopes to see increased trade and investment between Nigeria and the UK.
She spoke with newsmen at the Presidential Wing of the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Ikeja on Wednesday in Lagos, shortly before departing the country at 8:10 p.m.
“I was in Abuja and also in Lagos to see the thriving business community here.
“We want to see increased trade between Nigeria and UK, increased investment, bringing jobs here in Nigeria, jobs in the UK.
“This will be good for both countries and I have had an excellent time in Nigeria, and I am very pleased to be here today,” she told newsmen.
Gov. Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State, who was at the airport to see her off, said the important visit centered on improving investment in the state and the country in general.
“She has visited Abuja earlier in the day.
“The important part of this visit was discussion on how investment in Lagos can be improved by British investors.
“We realise that Lagos is the commercial capital of Nigeria and a whole lot of British investment are domiciled in Lagos,” he said.
The governor said they spoke about how to improve investment planning and what Lagos has been doing to attract investors.
“We have been doing a lot of judicial sector reforms and security sector reforms and she is pleased with the progress we are making in Lagos.
“She is ready to complement our efforts by opening up export credit facility and also with the development of finance to some of the things that we are doing in Lagos,” he said.
Ambode said the discussion also centred on boosting technology and improving infrastructure and the creative industry.
“We spoke about things related to technology, infrastructure and also the creative industry.”
On the relationship between Lagos and Britain, Ambode said: “we need to make sure that a whole lot of British investment is coming to Lagos. She is willing to do more with us.
“You know, Lagos in 1861 was a British colony. The history has been so long, so, we also need to reactivate that,” Ambode said.
NAN reports that the state government, in a statement by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Mr Habib Aruna, shed more light on Ambode’s discussion with May.
Ambode, according to the statement, said that much of Nigerian education, cultural and political systems were influenced by Britain and there were more Nigerians living in the UK than elsewhere in the world.
The governor said that Lagos remained a place of choice for British investors, especially given that stability in the government, the size of Lagos economy and population, as well as the particular focus of his administration on the rule of law and justice sector reform.
He also said that it would be of particular importance to Lagos State if British investors could explore the various opportunities that exist in the State in the areas of energy, technology, export finance, infrastructure and the creative industry.
“So, we spoke about how we can improve the investment climate in Lagos and then the other parts of what Lagos has been doing to attract investors.
“You know we have been doing a lot in judicial sector reforms and security sector reforms and the Prime Minister was pleased with the progress that we are making in Lagos and ready to complement our efforts by opening up export credit facility and development finance to some of the things that we are doing in Lagos State.”
The Governor expressed optimism in the strengthening of the relationship between Britain and Lagos and avowed that his administration would do whatever it takes to achieve that goal.
According to the statement, May, on her part, said that export credit finance to the tune of 750 million pounds sterling, as well as considerable development finance was available, which Lagos State could look towards.
She also spoke about the role that British could play in the development of the technology industry in Lagos given the particular capability of the UK in that area.
The British Prime Minister also noted the special strength of the London City as a financial hub that could be of considerable importance for Lagos State, just as she emphasized sustainability and growth in Britain/Lagos relationship.
Finally, she expressed the desire of the British government to assist Lagos in the development of her creative industry and alluded to the fact that the jacket she was wearing when she met with the Governor was actually made in Nigeria.

The State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Yaba, has started investigation into the allegation of bribery against the suspended Divisional Police Officer in charge of the Pen Cinema Division, Harrison Nwabuisi.

PUNCH Metro learnt that the DPO and other policemen alleged to have been involved in the raid were arranged for an identification parade before some residents of Alimi Ogunyemi Street, Ijaiye, who accused them of extortion.

It was gathered that Nwabuisi denied collecting money for bail, just as the residents insisted paying money to a police sergeant who allegedly handed over the money to him.

Our correspondent had reported that Nwabuisi, a Superintendent of Police, led a police team to the area last Wednesday and arrested residents, some of whom had just finished praying in a mosque.

About 37 arrested residents were allegedly taken to the police station where the police allegedly demanded N15,000 from each of the victims.

The senior police officer, in connivance with a police sergeant, identified as Bigi, was alleged to have collected N30,000 from three of the residents.

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Edgal Imohimi, after the report, ordered the suspension of the DPO as he appointed officers to investigate the allegations.

The Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of the SCIID, Yaba, DCP Yetunde Longe, was asked to head the team.

One of the witnesses, Ibrahim Aranjure, said he was contacted by the DCP on Monday, adding that he went to the SCIID along with three other witnesses.

Ibrahim, whose brother, Sheriff, and two others, were arrested during the raid, had claimed that he paid N30,000 for their bail.

He said, “The DCP treated us well and we were not harassed by anyone. When we arrived at the SCIID around 11am, all the policemen that were part of the raid that night were brought before us and we identified three of them, including Bigi, who took N30,000 from me. The DPO was also there.

“We were taken to an office to make statements. Later, we were taken to the office of the DCP, where we had a face-to-face encounter with the DPO and Bigi.

“They both denied collecting any money from us. I was, however, able to establish that I gave Bigi the money and he passed it to the DPO, who put the money in his pocket. The DPO asked how N30,000 would enter his pocket and I wanted to argue with him, but the DCP intervened.

“I was the only witness who saw him collect the money because I paid. One other person, who followed us, also confirmed that Bigi collected money that night. The man said he (Bigi) rejected electronic transfer, saying he wanted cash.”

Our correspondent learnt that the DPO alleged that Ibrahim was sponsored by The PUNCH, citing a 2017 report on the notoriety of the police station.

The report, ‘Notorious police station where no one is innocent,’ had chronicled the travails of some residents who alleged that they were being harassed by policemen at the station who extorted money from them.

“The DPO said The PUNCH sponsored me in a desperate attempt to nail him. I insisted that I was not sponsored by anyone. I told the DPO that he collected the money in my presence, but he denied it.

“When the DCP asked him that when the suspects were released, who brought them out, he could not answer. She also asked him some other technical questions, which I think he did not answer well,” Ibrahim added.

PUNCH Metro gathered that some other residents who were arrested on the night of the incident did not get to the station after paying their way out.

One Nnaemeka Ogu, who responded to The PUNCH’s report of the raid on Twitter, claimed that he paid N4,000 for his worker.

“Had to pay N4,000 for bail the same night at the Area G Police Station for the release of my worker who was raided at Ogba bus stop. That was the only reason he was not moved to Pen Cinema  Police Station,” he wrote.

On Instagram, one rahcarter, said he had been extorted in a similar fashion.

He wrote, “Pen Cinema Police Station is a …, if you stay around the Ogba area, I am sure you won’t escape them. That was how I was arrested on a Friday by this people and I was given two choices: bail yourself with N10,000 or be detained till Monday. I bailed myself with N8,000 after a lot of begging.”

The state Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Chike Oti, said investigation was ongoing into the case.

He declined further comment.

Meanwhile, Lagos residents have commended the state CP, Imohimi, for his dispassionate and prompt responses to allegations against men and officers of the command.

On most social media platforms, residents wished police commissioners in other states would emulate his example to reform the police. LR News

“Today, it is all about celebrating those links through technology and I am very excited that the Prime Minister is announcing today a new £70 million programme that will create some 100,000 jobs in Nigeria and will also raise the income of three million people from the poorest parts of Nigeria.”

She added that the delegation consisted of various UK businesses were willing to invest “the kind of capital that creates jobs”.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and the Ministers of Finance and Power, Works and Housing, Kemi Adeosun and Babatunde Fashola respectively, attended the event.

The vice president said there was the need to create the right environment for technology companies to thrive and further gave an assurance of the government’s commitment to support innovation in the country.
“I think just looking at some of the start-ups that we see today, many of them started while the recession was on and they proved, by just a number of jobs, value and wealth created, that this is the future starting today.
“This is why we have started up first with the creativity and technology advisory group; many of these start-ups are members of this group where they help to formulate policies with Federal Government policy makers especially in fintech, which are some of the new areas we need to formulate policies.”
NAN also reports that the event, held at Ventures Park, an innovation hub and co-working space for entrepreneurs, showcased a number products from start-up entrepreneurs.

“More than ever before, we are starting to see a lot of support from the government.”
The event simultaneously held a panel discussion highlighting opportunities for doing business among businessmen of both countries.
The panel included Fashola, Adeosun and other key government representatives.

She is accompanied by a 30-man business delegation as part of her efforts to “deepen and strengthen” partnerships around the world as the UK prepares to leave the European Union next year.
